The two Rimmels and Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz

Hey there :)

Wow, so tomorrow's New Years Eveand another year is over. Looking back at it, I'm glad it's over but I don't have many resolutions but a low-buy is surely in order because I bought way to many polishes (or things in general) and my untrieds-stash is growing bigger and bigger. I don't have much planed for NYE and I hope you'll have a great day tomorrow :)

 Back to polish:
As I showed you in the first post the comparison of the two Rimmels, I decided to layer it with Purple Pizzaz I got from my swap with the awesome Jackie.

I layered one coat over it and boy, it was mesmerizing. I couldn't stop staring at it and the shimmer from Blue me Away was peeking through at some angles. There are glass flecks in Purple Pizzaz which you can see up close.

Rimmel Blue me Away vs. Rimmel Blue my Mind or: Why do companies keep changing their formulas?

Hey there :)

Whew, quite a long topic title ^^. So today's post is a comparison post of a polish from the same company but with different colors, even finishes. There are actually quite a lot of dud-Doppelgängers i.e. with holo polishes (yeah, I'm looking at you, My Private Jet, but also Color Club's Revvvolution or Wild at Heart or Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm- the last one isn't sold at their site anymore because they are working on re-formulating it to get the good version back).
Back to topic: Rimmel sold Blue me Away is a gorgeous medium-toned purple with magenta shimmer. Whereas Blue my Mind (BMM) is a creme purple, leaning more towards blue. BMM has even jelly-like and needed 3 coats to be opaque, whereas BMA only needed 2.
My favourite is Blue me away, it has the great shimmer in it whereas Blue my Mind is just a more ordinary purple creme.

The shimmer in BMA is quite distintive,I've only paiunted Blue my Mind on my ring finger.

Rimmel Night Before and some Glitter

Hey there :)

After seing EvilAngel's post about this polish, I had to dig it out of my stash to paint it on. It's a gorgeous purple with red shimmer. Sadly, this shade wasn't available (anymore?) here.
I used two coats and really like their brushes, wide, spreads out nicely. After painting it, it looked a bit too plain so I dug out another polish. I got it in an Asian Store which sold quite random things- from shoes to clothes, luggage cases, hair aceccories and make-up. They had quite a few shades but there were only two which appealed to me.
I've never tried them till now but they are most certainly not B3F. It was quite hard to work with the glitter polish because the formula was quite thick and it was hard to pick out the glitter.

NOTD: Rimmel Glam Goth+ some Stars

Hey there

I'm sorry I haven't posted a while because I've been awfully busy the last days and the rest of it just plain lazy to upload pics(and I was re-watching the two seasons of True Blood, I'm quite obsessed with this series which reminds me to get the book series- I only read the first one). Plus I just restored my computer because it was quite slow and I haven't install Photoshop yet so it might take some time till I can show you some "fresh"/more recent manicures.
So today's post is about Rimmel Glam Goth- it was realeased in an Le but I don't remember the name together with another lighter purple but I liked this better because I love deep, vampy purples.
Now to the polish itself: It reminds be a bit of Chanel's Vendetta, only a lighter version of it. I might be wrong but I think I'll do a comparison swatch when I have time. It is almost opaque in one coat but I did two just to be safe and I LOVE the brush. It's one of the soft, maxi brushes and it says "New maxi brush, mistake free application" I love maxi/pro wide brushes - they are the best in my oppinion. When I finished my manicure I thought it was a bit to simple so I added some stars with those stickers where you paint over with polish. I got mine from Claire's but they were made out paper and not plastik like from other brands. For the stars I used Color Club/Art Club nail polish in Hologram Glitter( which is awesome for a glittery french which I posted about here)
Long story short, here are the pictures (like all purples, my camera absorbs the red in the pics):
