Jessica Glitterati

When I first saw the promo pictures of the Glamourama collection, there were quite a few I wanted. Now seeing a few of them in person, I’m a bit disappointed.
Thanks to my dear friend Caroline I’m able to swatch them and save some money. Glitterati is a gorgeous shade in the bottle but sadly, the multichrome glitter doesn’t translate well on the nail. In the bottle it shifts from an pumpkin orange, light brown, yellow, green and hints of teal. The glitter itself is quite sparse, you probably need more than three coats till they are opaque on its own.
I used one coat over a black creme (Wet’n’Wild Black Creme) and another thing that I liked is that they are not “bumpy” glitters, meaning you’ll only need a coat of topcoat and you will have a smooth finish.

Als ich die Promobilder von der Glamourama Kollektion von Jessica gesehn hab, fand ich schon ein paar wirklich toll. Nachdem ich einige davon aber jetzt selber sehen konnte, war ich schon enttäuscht.
Dank der lieben Caroline durfte ich sie mir zum swatchen ausborgen und Geld sparen, denn danach hatte ich kein “habenwollen”-Gefühl :). Glitterati ist ein wirklich toller Lack in der Flasche, aber leider sieht man den Farbwechsel nicht mehr sichtbar auf den Nägeln. In der Flasche sieht man den tollen Farbwechsel von orange, hellbraun, geld, grün und auch teilweise petrol. Der Glitzer ist nicht so vollgepackt und bräuchte mehr als drei Schichten, bis er deckt.
Ich hab’ auf den Bildern eine Schicht unter einem schwarzen Lack(Wet’n’Wild Black Creme) benutzt. Was mir aber durchaus positiv aufgefallen ist, dass die Glitzerlacke aus der Kollektion nach einer Schicht Überlack schon glatt sind, sprich, man hat nicht den “Schmirgelpapier”-Effekt auf den Nägeln.

Just for fun I layered  a coat of Platinum Wishes(from the same collection) over Glitterati- I really liked how it turned out :)
Zum Spaß hab ich dann noch eine Schicht Platinum Wishes (aus der gleichen Kollektion) über Glitterati gepinselt- ich find, es schaut toll aus :)

Ozotic 528

I’m sure most of you have heard of the brand Ozotic. They are known for their stunning holographic and duo/multi-chromatic nail polishes. Amongst those, there are also some popular shades and one of them is #528, a glitter with multi-chromatic characteristics.
The glitter shifts from green, teal, purple, magenta and yellow-ish gold depending on the angle you look at.
It is stunning and I cought myself staring at my nails and moving them to see all the different colors.
Sadly, this shade is discontinued but you might get lucky and can still snatch up a bottle (or get one of its foreign siblings ;) ).

I used one coat over a black creme and didn’t had any other issues. The finish can be a bit rough as it’s a glitter nail polish. (you can use second coat of topcoat if it really bothers you)

Ich bin mir sicher, dass einige von euch schon von der Firma Ozotic gehört haben. Sie sind für ihre holographischen und duo/multichromes bekannt. Darunter sind auch einige sehr begehrte Nagellacke dabei und einer davon ist Nummer 528, ein multi-chromatischer Glitzerlack aus der Elytra Serie.
Der Glitzer ist, je nachdem, welchen Winkel man ihn betrachtet, Grün, Petrol, Magenta und einem gelblichen Gold.
Der “Effekt” ist wirklich atemberaubend und ich habe mich selber dabei ertappt, wie ich meine Nagel angestarrt und hin-und-her bewegt habe um die verschiedenen Farben zu sehen.
Leider ist der Lack bzw. die ganze Elytra-Kollektion nicht mehr erhältlich (bzw. nur mehr noch Restbestände) aber es gibt auch von einigen anderen ausländischen Marken Nagellacke, die dem 528er recht Nahe kommen ;).

Ich habe eine Schicht von 528 über einen schwarzen Lack gepinselt. Der Auftrag und die Konsistenz sind gut, nur die Oberfläche nach dem Überlack ist ein wenig uneben, aber da es ein Glitzerlack ist, ist es für mich kein Problem. (Falls es wen sehr stört, einfach eine zweite Schicht Überlack drüberpinseln).
