Holo week- Day 2, China Glaze 2nite

Hey there :)

Today's day 2 of Holo week and we'll celebrate it with this blue holo. 2nite came out in the OMG Collection from China Glaze a few years ago and I think some of them are hard to find by now- which is understandable because these holos rock!
So, this particular one is a blue linear holo. It applied well in 2 coats and in my oppinion these are better to paint when you've got a decent amount of polish on the brush. They are drying fast so the thick coats aren't an issue. As most holos I don't top it with an topcoat and they wear pretty well because it lasted me about 3 days with minimal tipwear, no chipping. So I'm really impressed with these (who isn't?) but there's one little complaint: the paint/letters on my bottles aren't holding onto the bottle, which in case of the Kaleidoscope collection is really a pitty because the artwork on them is pretty and don't want half of it on my hands when I open a bottle of them. And I never had any similar issues with my other China Glaze bottles which is weird.

Holo week- Day 1, Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm

Today's the first (full) week of my long summer break from university/college and what better way to show you guys with a go-to polish during summer than a holographic one?

I love holos and can't get enough of them- during summer, they're the most exciting polishes and simply can't get enough of them. And Sally Hanses was right with her line: "Rainbow in every bottle". I want to start Holo-week with one of my favourite black, chorcoral holos, Chainmail Charm from Diamond Cosmetics. This polish found a little place in my heart when I first got into polish about a year ago and received it in an Christmas-swap which I posted here.

Now, let's move onto the many pictures. I used one coat each of Wet'n'Wild Black Creme and Chainmail Charm. No application issues and no topcoat, only a basecoat.

Next up tomorrow is another breath-taking holo, so there's something to look forward to :) And I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do wearing these pretties :D

Essence Sun Delicious comparisons

Today I've got some comparisons of the polishes I posted yesterday. I only found two look-alikes in my stash (not even a maybe-dupe for the purple one which is really odd for a purple-lover ;) )

Here we go, the two comparisons:
First, Chocolicious vs LCN 43179-127
You can see that Chocolicious is darker than the LCN one. It is also glossier and both needed two coats to be opaque. I didn't use a topcoat here.

Next up is Raspberry Sorbet vs. Chanel Fantastic.
Fantastic has the famous Chanel-shimmer and is lighter than RS. They applied without any complaints with two coats, no topcoat. I would have gotten away with one coat with Fantastic but you can see the shimmer in direct/probably indirect sunlight.

(the order which I applied them is, (top to bottom) Fantastic, RS, F,RS

All in all I liked Fantastic the best, but the two browns are not really my cup of coffe, so I probably use those for nail art,... purposes.
