Sally Hansen Garnet Lapis ♥

This is another kickass polish from my swap with mrsrexy. Garnet Lapis was part of the Sally Hansen Nail Prisms - it contained a bunch of duochromes and holo polishes. It's quite sheer and I've only used one coat over a random black creme. The base color is a blurple and shifts magenta, green and yellow with a hint of gold depending on the angle you are looking at it.
Prepared for some picspam?

China Glaze DV8 and QT with some stamping

Hey there :D

I was in the mood for some holos and recently bought a bottle of QT. QT is a magenta holo and part of the OMG series by China Glaze. Sadly, they are discontinued but you may be lucky to find some of them at etailers.
I've already shown you DV8 here. QT and DV8 were opaque in two coats and I didn't had any problems with either polish. I stamped with the black Konad Princess polish and Image Plate HB24 (a coffee/tea-themed image plate).

A Franken and crackles

Hey there :)

Today's just a quick post. I recently saw some swatches of Models Own Disco Mix and thought that it was quite easy to franken my own so I did. I used an unnamed blue glitter from Claire's (the ones they sell here are all unnamed :( ) and the pink glitter from my swap with the sweet Jackie from Candy Coated Tips.

I couldn't let it alone so I layered a thick coat of Isadora White Art over it.

I'd recommend you to click on the pic to enlarge it to see the glitter better :)

Essence Undead vs. Wet'n'Wild Night Prowl

Hey there :)

When I swatched Essence's Undead from their Eclipse LE, I knew I saw something similar somewhere. A few days (or better weeks) later, I knew, which one it was- Night Prowl by Wet'n'Wild.

I painted Undead and NP alternating, beginning with Undead on my pointer. I used one coat each and as you can see, Night Powl is packed with magenta glitter. Whereas the glitter in Undead is "drowned" in the base. The color of the glitter is the same too.
Before I removed the polish, I experimented a bit with it. I used my clean-up brush, dipped it into polish remover and carefully wiped off a layer of polish on Undead. It worked and after wiping off the polish, you can see more of the glitter in Undead, see for yourself. (you can click on the pictures)

I like both and you don't need both. Considering that Night Powl is in the permanent display in the US and you can easily swap/buy/franken one bottle for yourself, I'd pick NP. And you don't have to sell an arm, leg or organ to get the overhyped Polishes from the Eclipse collection by Essence (people are selling it for the tripple retail prices at the bay of evil...)

Nubar Prize: Layering experiments (pic heavy)

Hey there :)

As I wrote yesterday I wasn't that fond of the colour so I thought it'll be perfect for layering. The pinknes of the polish was a bit too strong for my taste so I layered it over Opi's Thanks so Muches. In comparison I like it that way better than the original colour but I think I still have to find a red that's a tad darker to be fully satisfied.
The two fingers with only Prize were two coats, the other two were one coat of each polish.
Also the following pictures show the same pattern- was simply to lazy to write them on each picture (also no topcoat this time).

Nubar Prize

Hey there :)

Today I'm going to show you another polish I got to review from Karl of PetrasNailStore. It's Prize by Nubar from their Prism Collection. It is a red with a hint of pink in it aka magenta. I wasn't very keen of the colour but I think it would be perfect for layering with the right polish ;). Somehow I like it more in the pictures than in real life.. strange, I know ^^.
The application and drying time was great, the brush- as all the Nubar's I've tried till today, excellent-not too wide and not too tiny. I didn't had any problems with the formula and the pictures below show two coats (no topcoat because I was in a hurry& the drying time was awesome :D )
Sadly, I can't show you sun-pictures- the weather was terrible when I did the swatches and the holographic glitter is even more rainbow-y in person.
(I was not paid to write this review, it represents my honest opinion about this product)
