Essie She’s Pampered from the upcoming Leading Lady limited edition. This collection will be released in November and I’m anxiously waiting to see Butler Please and Leading Lady in person.
She’s Pampered is a scarlet red jelly. When I first opened the package, I was thinking it was “just another red” but after swatching it, I was surprised how much I liked it. The opacity is great- you’ll only need one coat and the dry time was good too. The only thing which bothered me a bit was the removal- you’ll end up with red “smurf” hands if you’re rubbing back and forth while removing it. So you’ll have to be a bit patient, let the cottonpad sit for a while and remove it all with one swipe to avoid this :)
The Leading Lady Collection will be available in November, the Austrian MRSP/RRP is €9,90 and will be available at BIPA, Müller, DM and Douglas stores.

Essie She’s Pampered ist einer der sechs Nagellacke aus der limitierten Leading Lady Kollektion. L’Oréal Österreich war so freundlich, mir einen Nagellack aus der Kollektion zu schicken. Die Kollektion wird im November erscheinen und ich möchte mir unbedingt Butler Please und Leading Lady vorher anschauen, bevor ich sie mir kaufe.
She’s Pampered ist ein scharlachroter Jellylack. Der erste Eindruck vom Lack war “ein weiterer 0815 Rotton”, aber nachdem ich ihn für die Bilder lackiert habe, war ich überrascht, wie sehr ich ihn mochte. Die Deckkraft ist unschlagbar, er war schon mit nur einer Schicht deckend und die Trockenzeit war auch gut. Das einzige, was mich störte, war, dass er beim ablackieren die Nagelhaut bzw. die Haut um den Nagel rot einfärbte. Also sollte man beim ablackieren den Entferner ein wenig länger drauf lassen und alles mit einem Wisch wegzuwischen.
Die Leading Lady Kollektion wird es ab November bei BIPA, Dm, Müller und Douglas mit einen UVP von €9,90 in Österreich geben.

Essie Action
So here’s the last one of the Essie Poppyrazzi collection. I couldn’t get Action out of my mind when I bought Bazooka so through the sweet Mirela I got it.
And after I put it on, I was dissapointed. The color is really “in your face” neon when you use a white base color underneath but I just didn’t feel the color.
Anyway, Essie Action is a tangerine orange, depending on the your base, it is going to be a bit different color-wise.
Without a base you’ll need two coats till it is opaque. Somehow the formula is thicker than the others and the balls in there refuse to mix when you shake the bottle and just stay on the bottom. I used two coats on my pinky and three coats on my middle finger. It dries, like the others in the collection, to a semi-satin finish and is also a tad darker on the nail than in the bottle.
For the swatches with a white base I used the white Essence stamping polish. The color is a bright highlighter orange. I used two coats on my pointer and ringfinger.
Der noch fehlende Lack aus der Essie Poppyrazzi Kollektion. Ich konnte nicht mehr anderes als an Action denken, nachdem ich Bazooka gekauft habe und habe durch noch durch die liebe Mirela bekommen.
Nachdem ich den Lack aber lackiert hab, war ich enttäuscht. Die Farbe ist zwar wirklich toll Neon, wenn man einen weißen Unterlack benutzt, aber er gefiel mir einfach nicht auf meinen Nägeln.
Essie Action ist ein Mandarinenorange. Je nach Unterlack ist er, wie die anderen Farben aus der Kollektion, farblich ein wenig verschieden.
Ohne einen weißen Unterlack, braucht man zwei Schichten, bis er deckt. Die Konsistenz des Lacks ist dicker als die anderen und auch die kleinen Mischkugeln bleiben trotz stärkerem Schütteln auf ihrem Platz. Ich habe zwei Schichten auf meinem kleinen Finger und drei Schichten auf meinem Mittelfinger benutzt. Das Finish hier ist auch, wie bei den anderen Lacken aus der Kollektion ein wirklich semi-Satin Finish und die Farbe ist auch einen Tick dünkler auf den Nägeln als in der Flasche.
Für die Swatches mit einem weißen Unterlack (Essence Stampinglack), ist die Farbe ein richtiges Textmarker-Orange. Ich habe je zwei Schichten auf meinem Zeige,- und Ringfinger benutzt.

Essie Bazooka
Bazooka was opaque with two coats and I used a white base (white stampingpolish by Essence) on my pointer and ringfinger. The swatches are without a topcoat and it dries to a semi-satin finish which was more visible without a white base. Bazooka is a gorgeous neon orange with a red hue. The neon effect is more visible when you use a white nail polish underneath.
Nachdem ich schon Camera and Lights geswatched habe, ist mir Bazooka nicht mehr aus dem Kopf gegangen. Ich hab glücklicherweise einen -25% Gutschein (beim Abzug von 25 Treuepunkten beim BIPA) bekommen und machte mich auf die Suche. Beim zweiten BIPA habe ich dann glücklicherweise die letzte Flasche von Bazooka noch bekommen :).
Bazooka ist mit nur zwei Schichten deckend und ich habe auf den Bildern auf meinem Zeige,- und Ringfinger einen weißen Unterlack (weißer Stempellack von Essence) benutzt. Die Swatches sind ohne Überlack gemacht worden wie die anderen Lacke aus der Kollektion trocknet er zu einem leichten matten Finish, der ohne weißen Unterlack sichtbarer war als mit.
Bazooka ist ein wunderbarer oranger Neonton mit einem Hauch Rot. Der Neonton kommt erst mit dem weißem Unterlack so richtig zur Geltung.

Essie Poppy Razzi Collection: Camera, Lights and Bazooka

Summertime is Neon-time and this summer Essie released a limited edition with four neon shades. When I first saw the collection in the stores here, none of them appealed to me and I didn't get any of them (and to be honest I'm not really a neon person).
There are four shades called Bazooka, Action, Camera and Lights. They are available now but might already be sold out as they started releasing them at the end of July.

Hier ein Bild vom Aufsteller, den ich vor ein paar Tagen im Müller entdeckt habe, beim Kauf von einem Nagellack aus der Kollektion gibt es ein paar Zehenspreizer gratis.
The Essie PR team kindly sent me two shades, Camera and Lights.
Both are nicely pigmented and opaque with two coats. The formula was great and the wide brush* was great. They suggest a white base as underwear and in the pictures I'm using the white Konad Stamping polish as my base. It really makes a difference but I like both versions (with or without a white base). For the pictures I used two coats, no topcoat.
Essie Camera is a nice coral shade and my favourite of the two.
Without a white base: on my middlefinger and pinky, it dries to a light satin finish and is darker on the nail than in the bottle.
With a white base: on my pointer and ringfinger, a "full" neon shade, the satin finish is barely visible.

Beide Nagellacke sind schön pigmentiert und decken mit zwei Schichten. Die Konsistenz von beiden Nagellacken ist auch gut und der breite Pinsel erleichtert mir das lackieren. Es wird ein weißer Unterlack empfohlen und ich habe dafür den weißen Stempellack von Konad benutzt. Es ist wirklich ein großer Unterschied und ich habe so gut es geht, den Unterschied mit meiner Kamera einzufangen. Für die Bilder habe ich jeweils zwei Schichten benutzt, aber keinen Überlack.
Essie Camera ist ein schöner Korallton und mein Liebling von den zwein.

New display pictures and some "display news" (long post)
Even tough the "season" of the new displays is over, I've got some new limited editions and some other "display news" for you.
First up, the Misslyn Peacock Collection. The collection consists of a bronzener and some duochrome nail polishes and it also has the Chanel Peridot Dupe which I already showed you here. Even tough I like duochromes, the colors didn't appeal to me and I didn't buy any.
Obwohl die "Saison" der Sortimentsumstellungen schon vorüber ist, stelele ich euch heute ein paar neue Theken und limitierte Editionen vor.
Als erstes, die Peacock Collection von Misslyn. Die Kollektion besteht aus einem Bronzener und einigen Nagellacken mit duochrome Effekt und hat auch den Chanel Peridot Dupe im Aufsteller, den ich euch schon hier vorgestellt habe. Obwohl ich duochrome Lacke mag, waren die Farben nicht so meins und habe auch nichts gekauft.
I spottet a new limited edition by Alessandro. Again, another unannounced display, without much information about it. After a little hint from a beauty forum I saw that this display is consisting of scented nail polishes and coordinating hand cremes with matching scents. The colors/hand cremes didn't appeal to me so I didn't buy anything. I think they retail for ~10€(~13U$) each (which might vary from the stores that carry them).
Ich hab eine neue Alessandro LE beim Douglas entdeckt. Schon wieder eine "unangekündigte" limitierte Edition, wo es nicht viel Informationen darüber gibt. Nach einem Hinweis von einem Beautyforum hab ich herausgefunden, dass die Aufsteller Duftnagellacke mit den darauf abgestimmten Handcremen gibt. Die Farben/Handcremes waren nicht ganz mein Beuteschema und hab davon nichts gekauft. Ich glaube, dass die Lacke und Cremes je ca. 10€ kosten, wobei es viellleicht auch leichte Preisunterschiede bei verschiedenen Läden geben könnte.
While I was at the Müller drugstore, I noticed that they put out an Essie display. The display has some core colors, a few treatments and the 2012 spring collection, Navigate Her. On the top "shelf" they had the spring collection in it. The nail polishes were 8,99€ and the spring collection was 9,99€ each. They didn't had a price tag for the treatments, so I'm not sure how much they cost.
Als ich beim Müller war, hab ich auch ein Essie-Aufsteller entdeckt. Der Aufsteller hat einige Lacke aus dem Standardsortiment, ein paar Pflege,-Unter,- und Überlacke und die aktuelle Frühlingskollektion, Nagivate Her. Ganz oben sind die Lacke der Navigate Her Kollektion. Die Nagellacke kosten je 8,99€, wobei die Frühlingskollektion 9,99€ kostet. Bei den Pflegelacken gab es leider kein Preisschild, also weiß ich leider nicht, wieviel sie kosten.
And now, the most exciting part for me, another find at the Müller drugstore: a display of Butter London nail polishes!
Apart from the excitement that I can finally take a closer look at the polishes, the only thing is the price tag: 17,95€, which is around 24 U$.
The display has some core colors, including the spring collection, their nail polish remover and an emery board.
Nun, eine Neuigkeit, über die ich mich wirklich gefreut habe, als ich beim Müller "drübergestolpert" bin: ein Aufsteller mit Butter London Nagellacken!
Nun kann ich mir die Nagellacke endlich auch vorher anschauen, bevor ich sie mir dann im Internet bestelle und muss nicht "blind" bestellen. Der Nachteil daran ist, dass sie 17,95€ kosten :/
Der Aufsteller hatte einige Lacke aus dem Standardsoritment, inklusive der Frühlingskollektion, dem Nagellackentferner und einer Nagelfeile.
And now some new things which arrived in the past few weeks: the Austrian drugstore chain, BIPA now carries Essie nail polishes. We (bloggers) first thought the nail polishes were going to be put in their regular displays but now we got an extra stand-alone display in most stores. The nail polishes retail for 9,99€(~13U$) and the treatments are 10,99€(~14,5U$) each.They are also available online at their online shop (they only ship within Austria tough).
Nun ein paar Neuigkeiten: die österreichische Drogeriekette BIPA hat nun auch Essie Nagellacke. Wir (Bloggerinnen dachten zuerst, dass die Nagellacke ins normale Regal neben den anderen Kosmetikmarken eingeräumt werden aber es stellte sich herraus, dass es ein extra Regal für die Nagellacke ist. Die Nagellacke kosten je 9,99€ und die Pflegelacke je 10,99€. Die Nagellacke gibt es auch im Online-Shop (sie liefern aber nur innerhalb Österreichs)
After Bourjois left our drugstores, BIPA made a big "secret" about what's to come. The secret wasn't that overwhelming and something that is already available at other drugstore chains here: Manhattan. Anyway, the price range is around the DM drugstore.
Nachdem Bourjois beim BIPA aufgelassen wurde, machte BIPA ganz geheimnisvoll, was wohl als nächstes kommen würde. Das Geheimnis war nicht ganz so überwältigend und ist im Endeffekt eine Marke, die es schon in anderen Drogeriemärkten gibt: Manhattan. Preislich gesehn, ist es auf etwa dem Niveau vom DM, also ein wenig teurer als der Müller.

Nun kann ich mir die Nagellacke endlich auch vorher anschauen, bevor ich sie mir dann im Internet bestelle und muss nicht "blind" bestellen. Der Nachteil daran ist, dass sie 17,95€ kosten :/
Der Aufsteller hatte einige Lacke aus dem Standardsoritment, inklusive der Frühlingskollektion, dem Nagellackentferner und einer Nagelfeile.
And now some new things which arrived in the past few weeks: the Austrian drugstore chain, BIPA now carries Essie nail polishes. We (bloggers) first thought the nail polishes were going to be put in their regular displays but now we got an extra stand-alone display in most stores. The nail polishes retail for 9,99€(~13U$) and the treatments are 10,99€(~14,5U$) each.They are also available online at their online shop (they only ship within Austria tough).
Nun ein paar Neuigkeiten: die österreichische Drogeriekette BIPA hat nun auch Essie Nagellacke. Wir (Bloggerinnen dachten zuerst, dass die Nagellacke ins normale Regal neben den anderen Kosmetikmarken eingeräumt werden aber es stellte sich herraus, dass es ein extra Regal für die Nagellacke ist. Die Nagellacke kosten je 9,99€ und die Pflegelacke je 10,99€. Die Nagellacke gibt es auch im Online-Shop (sie liefern aber nur innerhalb Österreichs)
After Bourjois left our drugstores, BIPA made a big "secret" about what's to come. The secret wasn't that overwhelming and something that is already available at other drugstore chains here: Manhattan. Anyway, the price range is around the DM drugstore.
Nachdem Bourjois beim BIPA aufgelassen wurde, machte BIPA ganz geheimnisvoll, was wohl als nächstes kommen würde. Das Geheimnis war nicht ganz so überwältigend und ist im Endeffekt eine Marke, die es schon in anderen Drogeriemärkten gibt: Manhattan. Preislich gesehn, ist es auf etwa dem Niveau vom DM, also ein wenig teurer als der Müller.
While I spottet the Manhattan display, I also noticed that they were redoing a few other displays. The big "change" was, that they were installing a place for the limited edition displays. Here's a picture of the new displays I snagged:
Als ich die Manhattan Theke beim BIPA entdeckte, sah ich auch, dass einige der Theken umgebaut wurden und nun auch ein extra Fach eingebaut wurde, wo es dann drinnen auch limitierte Editionen eingebaut werden. Ein Bild, was ich vom "Umbau" machen konnte:

H&M swatches spam and comparisons

So today I'll show you a lot of swatches- first up, My Favourite Jeans.
It's a dark blue semi-foil with glass flecks. I used three coats. I quite like it but the formula was a bit weird.
Here one with flash and after swatching it, I had something similar in my stash, Catrice Back to Black, so I did this comparison:
The same "hidden" shimmer in the bottle, let's see what the flash pic has to reveal:
Yep, definitly dupes- Back to Black was almost opaque in one coat, but you'll get better results with two, which I used for the pictures.
Fashionista- a vibrant purple, almost a frost finish
Imagine it a bit less blue. It also dried really quickly, probably the the fastest of the bunch. It took me two coats to be opaque.
Next up, Godess on Stage.
Godess on Stage is a dark eggplant purple, which sadly, is a lot darker on the nail than in the bottle.I really love the shimmer in the bottle which can probably only be seen in direct sunlight. In lower lights this one surely will look almost-black but I don't think it's a big issue because I know how beautiful it can be in sunlight :)

Now, some lighter shaades....
U must have this- A gorgeous blue creme, two coats to reach opacity.
Next- a comparison: Essence The World's Coolest, Orly Gumdrop, H&M Bellas Choice and Artdeco #93
The World's Coolest was a bit watery, almost jelly-like formula. I used three coats.
Gumdrop was almost opaque in one coat, it is a bit "dustier" than all the other polishes in this comparison.
Bellas Choice is the greenest/most turquoise one, it was almost opaque in one coat.
Artdeco #93 is the bluest of the bunch and was like Gumdrop& BC almost opaque in one coat.
And now the last comparison, betwen Essie Mesmerize, H&M Blue my Mind and P2 Gigantic
Mesmerize is, not like his name, the darkest one. I was quite dissapointed in it because when I first saw the swatches, it was brighter and had a neon-touch in it. On the nail& in the bottle? Not so much. I used two coats.
Blue my Mind- a beautiful creme blue. The formula was ok and took two coats to be opaque.
Gigantic is what I imagined, Mesmerize would be- a bright, azure blue. It's my favourite in this comparison and took only two coats to be opaque.

Moonless Night- a black with dark silver shimmer. It's one of those where you only see the shimmer in direct sunlight, so it was harder to photograph. It tooke me two coats to reach opacity.

Essie Sexy Divide aka one of the polishes I like more on the pics or in lower lights
Hey there :)
This may be the longest blog title I've written so far ^^ Anywho- Sexy Divide.... I loved it when I first saw some swatches of it and of course the inner purple-lover wanted it. I gave in, bought it and wore it but somehow it wasn't love at first sight... I liked it more in lower lights because somehow then it gets a depth which can only be seen then. The color is a middle-toned purple with a light(really light) duo-chrome effect in the bottle from magenta to an eggplant-purple. The opacity was good- 2 coats till there was no visible nail line and the brush was ok- not as awesome as the Nubar's brush or Opi pro wide brush.
Somehow the pics also show a "glow" which I recognize now, I should pay more attention to it when I wear it the next time.
As most purples- it is not as blue-tones as it appeares here (and sorry about the pre-clean up pics)

OPI Polishes in Nip/Tuck

I just began to watch the newest and last season of Nip/Tuck and in the second Episode you can see some Opi polishes in the little Beauty Salon of some Asians. Yesterdays episode had "just" 3 polishes - a red one, a plum shade and a pink one.
I don't want to tantalize you, so here are the pics.( they're clickable too :-) )
