Chanel Blue Satin gets a bit Chunky

This is one of the very few Chanels I own and sadly fits into the category "gorgeous in the bottle but too dark to see anything in some lights". You can see the (in)famous "Chanel-shimmer" mostly in the sunlight.

The color is a really dark navy blue with blue shimmer. The application was ok and I used only two coats.

you can see the shimmer if you click on the picture /  ihr könnts auf Bild draufklicken, damit man den Shimmer besser sieht

Because this was such a dissapointment, I used Claire's Chunky Blue to make it more exciting. I got this one in a swap with the sweet Nicole from Nightly Nails some time ago.
Chunky Blue is a gorgeous blue glitter polish with silver hex-glitter. It might be too sheer on its own so I mostly use it as a layering polish. I used one coat of Chunky Blue and didn't had any issues with the application.

Some recent displays and a paradoxal fever

Hey there :)

I recently spotted a few new or new to me displays and tought that I'd share them with you.

First up, the new Alessandro crackle polishes called "Royal Crash". Yeah, you've seen right, Alessandro jumped on the Crackle-wagon and I somehow have the feeling there are a lot of companies out there who got those. The set contains a base color (gold or silver, a black crackle and a topcoat, all for ~15€)
Next up, two other Alessandro displays, one from their new Dark Secret LE  and an (maybe) older one called Hypnotic (looks like a Chanel Particulière dupe to me ;) )

Last, but not least, two Artdeco displays- a huge one called Color Masterpiece and one containing another (Chanel) dupe (called Mystery Collection).
I really liked #123 and #127 but having a lot of blues and purples I might have dupes or similar shades (plus I didn't want to spend that much if I have something similar in my stash already).

I mentioned the "paradoxal fever" in my title- let's take a closer look to Artdeco #145 of their Mystery Collection:
I took the Chanel Paradoxal testerbottle and compared it to Artdeco #145. I couldn't tell a difference between the two.

Incoco Heart Breaker with Splashes

Hey there :)

Today's post is about Incocos Nail Polish strips. These strips have a base and topcoat in them and are really easy to work with. There are instructions in every package and a video on incoco's site :)
I recently got a package with Heart Breaker to try. The color is an almost-white with a hint of pink in it.
The application was really easy and I didn't had any problems with it. The only problem was, that I didn't file at an 90° angle and at some fingers it looked a bit like I've got tipwear.
I couldn't help myself to stamp over it because it looked a bit too plain for my taste so I dug out my Konad plates and stamped the splashes from M21 with Chanel Vendetta and the blue Konad Special Princess polish.
It stayed on pretty well too. I took it off after 4 days (I change my manicure after 2 or 3 days).

(sorry for the error on the pointer)

Essence Sun Delicious comparisons

Hey there :)

Today I've got some comparisons of the polishes I posted yesterday. I only found two look-alikes in my stash (not even a maybe-dupe for the purple one which is really odd for a purple-lover ;) )

Here we go, the two comparisons:
First, Chocolicious vs LCN 43179-127
You can see that Chocolicious is darker than the LCN one. It is also glossier and both needed two coats to be opaque. I didn't use a topcoat here.
Next up is Raspberry Sorbet vs. Chanel Fantastic.
Fantastic has the famous Chanel-shimmer and is lighter than RS. They applied without any complaints with two coats, no topcoat. I would have gotten away with one coat with Fantastic but you can see the shimmer in direct/probably indirect sunlight.

(the order which I applied them is, (top to bottom) Fantastic, RS, F,RS

All in all I liked Fantastic the best, but the two browns are not really my cup of coffe, so I probably use those for nail art,... purposes.

Quick Post: Chanel Black Satin (EU)+ Wet'n'Wild Kaleidoskope

Hey there!

Just a quick post today.
It's the euorpean version of Chanel Black Satin, a black creme layered with Wet'n'Wild Kaleidoskope. There are two versions of Black Satin, one made in France and one made in the USA- the US Version has got a tiny silver shimmer that I think can only be seen in direct sunlight and well the European version is just a plain black creme. Yeah, another "same name but different colour/finish" dilema, so if a polish company reads this: STOP NAMING OUR LOVED SHADES OVER AND OVER; I HATE THE FACT THAT THERE ARE 2349234823094 Versions of My Private Jet.
I think that's enough of the whining for today, let's take a look at the pics:
2 coats of Black Satin and 1 coat of Kaleidoskope

NOTD: Chanel Vendetta+ Orly Prisma Gloss Silver

Hey Guys

Today I want to show you my recent NOTD. It's Chanel Vendetta and I have to say I'm quite dissapointed of it. I thought it is a really great purple (and I'm quite obsessed with them right now) but when I applied it it was opaque in one coat and you can't really see it's awesomeness at all. On some swatches you can see some blue and red shimmer but I couldn't see anything that looked nearly like that. Then I decided to layer Orly's Prisma Gloss Silver over it and I have to say I love this polish. It is a clear polish with tiny tiny holographic glitter in it and you first have to shake it a bit because it settles on the ground.
Long story short- here are the swatches (as usual, the pics are clickable)

(one coat of Vendetta)

(trying to capture the invisible blue&red shimmer)

2 coats of Prisma Gloss Silver

See that holo-awesomeness?!

Here a somehow bit of sunlight I was able to catch, a few seconds later it dissapeared.
