Chanel Blue Satin gets a bit Chunky

This is one of the very few Chanels I own and sadly fits into the category "gorgeous in the bottle but too dark to see anything in some lights". You can see the (in)famous "Chanel-shimmer" mostly in the sunlight.

The color is a really dark navy blue with blue shimmer. The application was ok and I used only two coats.

Das ist einer der wenigen Chanel Nagellacke, die ich habe. Leider gehört er zur Kategorie "wirklich schön in der Flasche nur in manchen Lichtverhältnissen schön, da er sonst nur schwarz ausschaut". Man kann den "Chanel Shimmer" meist nur im Sonnenlicht sehen.

Because this was such a dissapointment, I used Claire's Chunky Blue to make it more exciting. I got this one in a swap with the sweet Nicole from Nightly Nails some time ago.
Chunky Blue is a gorgeous blue glitter polish with silver hex-glitter. It might be too sheer on its own so I mostly use it as a layering polish. I used one coat of Chunky Blue and didn't had any issues with the application.

Weil Black Satin eine Enttäuschung war, hab ich Claire's Chunky Blue rausgegraben, um das ganze aufzupeppen. Ich habs in einem Tauschpäckchen von der lieben Nicole von Nightly Nails vor einiger Zeit bekommen.
Chunky Blue ist ein atemberaubender blauer Glitzerlack mit silbernen Hexagon-Glitzer. Er ist evt. ein bisschen zu durchsichtig, um alleine getragen zu werden und ich benutz ihn auch meistens nur zum layern. Ich hab eine Schicht vom Chunky Blue benutzt und hatte keinerlei Probleme mit dem Auftrag.

I got Mood Stuck!

Well, not literally but this is a new mood polish which I knew I had to have because I saw some great swatches of it over at Lacquer Laine. Thanks to a sweet swapper over at makeupalley, I got my hands on it.
It's a blue polish with (blue) shimmer which is primarily light blue(leaning towards turquoise) when it's hot but once it(your nails) gets cold, it turns into a darker blue but the shimmer still stays the same but is more visible while it's cold. When it's dark blue, it reminds me a bit of Orly Royal Navy, might be a tad darker tough.
I used two coats and it dried to a matte finish, so I toped it with a topcoat.

Naja, den Titel des Posts sollte man nicht zu ernst nehmen ;). Das ist einer der neuen Mood Lacke (Lacke, die je nach Temperatur die Farbe ändern) und ich wusste, dass ich ihn haben musste, als ich die Swatches von Lacquer Laine sah. Dank einer lieben Tauschpartnerin hab ich ihn nun bekommen :*. 
Es ist ein blauer Lack mit blauem Shimmer und ist meist hellblau (mit einem Hauch Türkis) when es heiß ist und dunkelblau wenns kalt ist. Der Shimmer ist beim hellen und dunklen sichtbar, aber bei der dünkleren Variante ist er sichtbarer und erinnert ein wenig an Orly Royal Navy.
Ich hab zwei Schichten aufgetragen und er hatte eine matte Oberfläche, als er getrocknet ist*, also hab ich eine Schicht Überlack drübergepinselt.


*Mood-Lacke trocknen schneller als die "gewöhnlichen" Lacke, ein bisschen langsamer als Matte Lacke, aber dennoch schneller als normale, glänzende Lacke.

a bit darker at the tips, still light blue at the nailbed/ ein bisschen dünkler beim Nagelweiß, aber immer noch hellblau beim Nagelbett

I forgot to wipe off all the cold water, so there are some left on the nails, leaving a pattern/ ich hab vergessen, die Hände ganz trocken zu wischen, also sieht man die Muster vom kalten Wasser

Claire's Matte Cobalt, Furta-Cor and Crackle

I bought Claire's Matte Cobalt from Chris' blog sale. It is a gorgeous cobalt blue which, as the name implides, dries matte. The application was a bit tricky because the first coat was somewhat patchy and the formula was rather thick. However the second coat evened everything out. A third coat gives it a little depth and darkens the color a bit more.

Claire's Matte Cobalt ist ein Lack, den ich bei Chris blog sale gekauft hab. Die Amerikanischen Claire's Lacke unterscheiden sich sehr von denen, die wir hier bekommen, denn a) sie sind größer, b) sie haben Namen und c) sie sind mMn schöner. Die Auswahl ist auch um einiges größer und trauere immer noch, dass es die tollen Mood-Lacke nicht bei uns gibt.
Matte Cobalt ist ein toller, dunkler Cobalt-ton, der, wie der Name schon sagt, matt trocknet. Der Auftrag ist schon recht knifflig- die erste Schicht ist ein "Fleckerlteppich", aber die zweite gleicht es recht gut aus, eine dritte Schicht macht das Ergebniss satter und dünkler. Die Konsistenz ist recht dickflüssig/ zäh, kann aber durch einen Nagellackverdünner (z.B. günstig von P2) ausgebessert werden.

Matte Cobalt was a bit boring on its own (matte and glossy) so I decided to add a sheer sparkle topcoat for an accent nail and grabbed Maybelline Furta-Cor which I got in a swap with Sarah from Them Pretty Colors. It doesn't look like much in the bottle but it shifts from blue, green and purple, absolutly stunning!


Da MC ein bisschen langweilig war, hab ich nach einem funkelnden Überlack gesucht, der das ganze verschönert. Also nahm ich maybelline Furta-Cor, ein Lack, den ich in einem Tauschpacket mit der lieben Sarah von Them Pretty Colors bekam. Es schaut nach nicht viel in der Flasche aus, aber er wechselt die Farbe je nach dem Winkel ins blaue, grüne und lilane, ganz nach meinem Geschmack ;). 

If that wasn't enough, I finally added a thick coat of P2s silver crackle polish, Silver Blast.

Als ob die zwei Lacke nicht genug wären, hab ich dann auch noch von P2 den silbernen Crackle Lack rausgekramt und eine dicke Schicht draufgepinselt.

Claire's Shy/Flirty

Hey there :)

 I recently got Flirty/Shy from another swap with the lovely Karen (if you'd like to see what she got me, I've added the pictures at the end of the post). Flirty/Shy is a blue and changes from a light to dark blue. I used two coats and it dried to a matte finish so I finished it up with a topcoat.

And now, the goodies from Karen. Originaly it was two swaps but the first package got lost somewhere between the US and Austria (probably stuck somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle like our first swap package :P). Thank you so much again Karen :)

Playing aroung with (Claire's) Magic and Larissa

Hey there :)

You might have figured out that today's post is about Claire's Magic and Glam Nails Larissa. Larissa is the (cheaper) Nfu.Oh 51 dupe by a the German company Glam Nails.
Magic is a gorgeous purple with a magenta shimmer- you've got to see this polish in person because it has a certain "glow" in it, which is mesmerizing. It looked kinda "meh" in the bottle but now wearing it, it changes everything ;)

(like all purples, it's less blue in person)

Then I wanted to do a accent nail with a nail sticker and did this:(somehow I had a "bad cuticle day" )- I used China Glaze's Matte Magic

Claire's Peaceful/Confident

Hey there :)

I've already shown you the holo-version of this beauty but it wouldn't be complete. These polishes are really mesmerizing and I love to play with warm/cold water when I did a NOTD with them. Peaceful/Confident is a beautyful green when it's warm and a teal (more green) when cold. I used two coats and it wore pretty good- 3 days till I removed it. (the pictures show it a lot bluer than it really is- damn camera)

Holo week - Day 7, final day with China Glaze, Claire's, Glam Nails and Milani

Hey there :)

So today's the last and final day of my holo week. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did :) This post has a lot of pictures, so beware ;)

First off, Milani Hi-Res. A beautiful lavender colored holo. I used 2 coats, no topcoat. Sadly, my camera is overhelmed by the holo-nes of this polish and imagine it more holographic. (I'd recomend you to click  on the pictures :D )

Next up, Claire's Peaceful/Confident(2 or 3 coats) layered with one coat of Glam Nails Rainbow (and a Nail Sticker from Nailene- thanks Judy *waves*)

China Glaze Lol- awesome purple polish, one of my favourite! 2 coats, no topcoat.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND drumroll please....

China Glaze OMG- and you might think it when you're wearing it and stare at your nails when the sun directly shines on it ^^. I used 3 coats, as always when I wear holos, no topcoat.
