As I promised you in the last post, I've layered Hottie with 2 awesome polishes that I got from Ange from Scandalously Polished (thanks again :D).
I used Pure Ice Heart Breaker and CND Sapphire Sparkle from their effects-series. Sapphire Sparkle was only layered over my ringfinger and I added a little fimo star fruit to give it a little twist :) The swatches show two coats each of the layering polish. Somehow my camera is a bit overhelmed by the magnificance of this polish-combo that it didn't show the duo/quadro-chrome effect of my ring finger (from the "Scrangie blue to a magenta to the Hottie purple).

Essence - Hottie
Hey there :)
Today I want to show you an older Essence polish which, sadly is discontinued (if I knew that, I would've bought a few to have a backup and to give some to you ;) ).
It is a middle toned puple with a silver foil finish/silver shimmer. And of course, my camera failed at capturing the true beauty of this shade (and my photoshop skills aren't that good to correct it, if you want to give me a/some lessons, drop me a line ;) )
I tinted the pic to make it more color-accurate, my hands aren't that red-ish in person ;)
Edit: I forgot to mention that these are 2 coats, 3 on some fingers to smooth out the bald spots.
Stay tuned for part 2 of this manicure with layering experiments :)

OMFG+ something odd
Sorry about the cursing, but it may be the only word(s) approporiate what I received today in the mail. They came all the way from Karen- she also has a great blog :)
Thank you so much Karen- it might took a while till they got here but they are worth waiting for :D
They didn't fit all in one pic so here's the second one:
Now to the odd thing in this post. I stumbled upon this when I was at a local Drug store called "Bipa" and was searching for the clearence section (I know I'm cheap but well, I love searching for clearence polishes where I can put my frankens in).
Yeah, you've seen right, Hello Kitty Toilet paper.... who buys that stuff? 3€ for 4 rolls...... and for more crazy Hello Kitty Gadgets- here's a link.

Glitter Gradient aka Funky French Fail
Hey there :)
The weather is getting a bit better (hope I don't jinx it-*knocks on wood*). I wanted to do my favourite funky French but it was a big fail and I didn't had the time/nerve to redo everything so I decided to do a gradient Manicure.
The polishes I used are Essence Bongo Drums from their current "Into the Wild" LE and Art Club/Color Club Nail art Liner in Hologram Silver. The swatches show one coat of Bongo Drums and about 2 coats of Hologram Silver.

Gunmetal/black with silver shimmer comparison part 2
Hey there :)
I wrote in my previous post that I do love these kind of shades and probably have at least 8-10 dupeish/similar colors (which also means part 3 and 4 for you guys ;).

In honor of the "great" weather here: Gunmetal/black with silver shimmer comparisons
Hey there :)
The weather here was really crappy- windy, raining in the evening and cold as it'll be winter. *grr*
I did these swatches a while ago when the weather was better than it is now and I had nubbins. The polishes I used are:
I applied them in the same order as I wrote above-I didn't had any problems with either of these polishes- neither with their consistency nor the brushes. But I have to admit I love the brushes from Nubar and Artdeco the most- great handle and a wider brush which is soft but not too soft that you get too much laquer on the surounding skin.
Here are some previous swatches of Dark Castle if you missed them.
The color: Raven is the darkest with the slightest shimmer of all of them, next would probably Artdeco, Nubar and H&M. The Alessandro one was the lightest and more a dark silver than a black with shimmer/gunmetal. They only had the silver shimmer and I have to say: I love them, I can't get enough of them and still keep buying them ^^.
(please excuse the pre-cleanup pics, it was just a quick swatch session)

P2 Dangerous
Hey there
From my previous post where I've shown you my sponge manicure I took some pics of Dangerous before sponging. The polish was a bit a teal with more green in it (does it make any sense to you?). A bit too much for my sense but there's always the option to franken with it :)
The application was good- the brush was ok but the consistency was a bit thicker, but nothing a thinner could fix. I used two coats and was suprised how shiney it was without a topcoat. (you can see it in the pics too :) )
(I'm sorry if it looks like my middle finger not painted neatly on the sides- I had a peelie and repaired it with nail glue and a tea bag)

Snowflakes in Mid-May or stepping out of my polish-comfort zone
Hey there :)
I'm close to 190 followers *wohoo*.
You might have wondered about my title- a few days ago it snowed in some parts of Germany and the weather here wasn't thrilling either, so I chose Orly's Snowcone out of my untried stash. It's mid-may, we should be dancing around with summer clothes and not with our winter jackets or at least without our umberellas/raincoats.
Oh well- the name of the polish inspired me to do some stamping and so I dug out my stamping kit. Before I started stamping I thought that a accent nail would be great so I also used a fimo flower (not the 3d ones- the ones you can slice from a cane)
Snowcone is opaque in one awesome coat but my clumsiness made me do two coats on some fingers. I love the color and somehow it is a color that I thought I'd never wear until the collection came out: a pastel/creme.
(please excuse some smudged snowflakes, my stamping skills aren't as good as I'd like them to be ^^)
Enjoy the pictures and have a great (remaining) Sunday :)
And picture where the flower looks most awesome

Vintage Theme
Hey there
Some of you might have seen that I've submited an entry over at Polish Hoarder's Blog- she's having weekly challenges and the first one had a Vintage Theme. It was really fun to come up with a this manicure and doing it- I'd definitly participate in her challenges again.
It was pouring outside and today it started raining again -.-. Oh well, I wish I could change the weather....
The polishes I used:
(It was even worse- the pics don't show it that well ;) )

Hey there
I was drooling over Andreas post from Black Nail polish and Lipgloss and thought to share these bottle pics with you :)

from left to right: AA Peacock, Turquise Kitty (new, seems to be form their summer LE), a franken(originally a blue creme/pastell blue), Really Black, Wicked Purple and Orly's Prisma Gloss Silver.
I've bought Really Black and Wicked Purple because of the cute bottles ^^

A non-polish related post: I finally found it!
I've been searching high and low for this little necklace- I knew that it was/is available at the H&M online shop but only buying this one little necklace(and possibly paying shipping when I know I'm surrounded by a lot of H&M's ;) )
So here it is, the mirror necklace(it has a real little mirror in it which I really love :D):
PS: Anyone here who likes to get this necklace in my next giveaway?

Glam Nails Rainbow- Yess! A rainbow on each nail and bottle (plus another not-so-holo Holo) and pic heavy
Hey there :)
As you might have read from the blogpost-title it's about a holo-polish AND I promised you in the last post that I'll post this mani next, so here it is: Glam Nails Rainbow. It is, like Larissa a 5ml bottle but damn, their brush is excellent! Even though the bottle tiny is they somehow managed to manufacture a brush which is quite wide and spreads out perfectly- I'm in love with the both shades I have and would certainly buy other shades that appeal to me.
Now about the pics: I also used annother holo which I recently bought, it's from a German company called "Professional Nails". The polish itself doesn't have a name and in the bottle it looks like it has the same holo-level as Rainbow but on the nail- not really....
For the manicure I used 3 coats each of the two polishes, plus a basecoat and a coat of ridgefiller- no topcoat because I didn't want to sacrifice the Holo-effect.
(I'd recomend you to click on the pics to get the full experience ;) )
bottle pics of both polishes:
Indirect sun-pic, not very impressed(BUT you can see a bit holo on my pointer if you click on the pic):

Glam Nails Larissa(Nfu.oh 51 dupe) nail wheel swatches
Hey there
Edit: Mon coin à moua did a comparison post of Larissa and #51, click here.
You may have read my post about my Nfu.oh #51 dupe (here or on makeupalley). The polish is from an European brand called "Glam Nails" and this one's called Larissa (they also have an awesome Holo which I'm going to post the next time). Glam Nails can be purchased in the (german) Drugstore-chain called "Müller" and the polishes are 1.59€ each, bot bad. I found the polish in a little vase near other limited edition displays who don't have place in their actuall "company displays". So my fellow Europeans who have a Müller nearby- check the little vase out because you might find this little treasure ;)
Now finally I've got some nailwheel swatches for you- it looks so much better in person, wish you all could see it!
(It is layered over Rimmel's Blue me away)
